Old people
usually say that food is medicine as we get remedy for all type of health
problems from the food we eat. But this doesn’t mean the junk food that we are
eating these. In fact even the fruits and vegetables which we intake are also
being poisonous as it has been grown quickly under the influence of pesticides
and fertilizers. Still there are some good qualities available in these kind of
food and so they are called as superfood.
The
superfoods consists of red wine, green tea, blueberries, shallots, kale and
some other fresh fruits and vegetable. These are called as the superfoods
because they have quercetin in it which is a natural flavonoid that is mostly
seen in fruits and vegetables only.
What is
quercetin?
As said

of the fruits and vegetables especially on the leafy greens, berries, tomatoes,
broccoli, grapes, pepper and some more. This is technically known as the plant
pigment which is produced in the plants that has higher levels of nutrient and
anti-oxidant properties.
These kind

instead of processed foods such that we can achieve the maximum benefit from
it. Some people even consider taking them as a supplement as they can unleash
its anti-inflammatory properties when combined with bromelain.
How it
works?
When some
research’s conducted on the quercetin for knowing the quercetin benefits it has
shown that the anti-inflammatory foods basically contain these flavonoids which
can helps to manage various health problems. This will be slowing down the
movement and activity of free radicals within the body which regulates the
immune system. The quercetin will send signals to the kinases and phosphatases
which helps in proper function of the cell.
